Michelle Stroo
Michelle, a.k.a “the big cheese”, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Aegis. She formed the company in 2003 after spending 10 years learning the “operational and safety” ropes of the geophysical industry.  Michelle has led our phenomenal national and international expansion and was the driving force behind our revolutionary online safety training. Her experience, entrepreneurial drive, dry sense of humour and outgoing nature has laid the foundation for the company’s success and energetic style.

Michelle is also an active member of the community. She serves as the chair of the CAGC (Canadian Association of Geophysical Contractors) Health and Safety committee organization, and also represent the CAGC on the Petroleum Safety Conference organizing committee. Her contribution to the business community was recognized with her 2007 nomination as RBC Woman Entrepreneur of the Year.

Michelle holds a bachelor of Commerce (honours) from the University of Saskatchewan. She loves to go to the movies, hang out with people and sip the odd martini—as long as they don’t contain any raspberries!
